Haiti Disaster Relief Response
On January 12th Haiti experienced a devastating earthquake that destroyed infrastructure and took lives across the nation. Weeks of aftershocks deepened the level of destruction and further destabilized the country and its citizens. Despite the circumstances, Project Eden, like many other international organizations across the world, rallied to provide aid.
Our first response was toward our “partner on the ground” Master's Touch Ministry. Master's Touch Ministry is dedicated to taking the Word Of God into the nations of the World. Founder, Dr, Patricia Bailey-Jones has been spreading the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ for over 20 years. Master's Touch Ministry and Antioch has helped to provide food, tents and medical supplies to orphans, families and the elderly.
After the earthquake, AMI partnered with Project Eden to accelerated a Housing and Infrastructure Development program and anticipates a 2010 launch to rebuild homes.
Will you donate now in support of Project Eden efforts? We deeply appreciate and thank you for your generosity during this difficult time in Haiti.
AMI Archives
AMI was founded in 1991 as an outreach ministry of Zoe Christian Fellowship of Whittier. It was created to help recruit, train and send Christians to minister to the needs of people who live in the inner cities of the United States and developing nations of the world. God’s will is that every believer go into all the world and preach the Gospel. AMI helps believers become energized and encouraged to go on short-term missions trips or local outreach activities for soulwinning and discipleship.
AMI also:
-
conducts leadership and pastoral training;
-
holds seminars on economic development for countries beleaguered by poverty; established a resource center library in South Africa;
-
supports many missionaries financially and emotionally who are serving in the field full-time;
-
gives free food to the poor in the Whittier area every week;
-
offers clothes for the needy;
-
distributes Christian books and CD’s.
Since its founding, AMI has sponsored or participated in short-term missions trips to Mexico, Ghana, West Africa, Johannesburg, South Africa, Lagos, Nigeria, Belize, Central America, Indonesia, Poland, Italy, Spain, Russia, England, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Guatemala, Brazil, Japan, Jamaica, Costa Rica and the Philippines.
AMI has led approximately 2,260 people on short-term missions trips and counting!
Through AMI, teams have ministered salvation in Jesus Christ to over 20,000 people and counting! Teams have delivered over 121,000 pounds of Bibles, books, audio/video tapes, tracts, toys, clothes, office supplies/equipment and church equipment to countries or states where AMI has ministered. Since 1989, AMI has given over $3.4 million dollars to missionaries, ministries, churches and agencies to support them in their quest to take the Word of God to the nations of the Earth.
