Operation Stitches Ministry Worker

Responsibilities: Teach the word of God to inner-city children through bible stories and puppets.

Qualifications: Must have a love for children.  Special need for male workers to lift heavy equipment and drive trailer.  Special need for couples to teach children's groups.

Work Schedule: Caravan leaves to ministry site after Sunday church service on the 2nd Sunday of each month.

Expected Commitment: 6 month commitment

 Union Rescue Mission Ministry Worker

 Responsibilities: Provides ministry to homeless individuals by (1) sharing personal testimony concerning salvation; or (2) sharing the goodness of God; or (3) a 7 minute word of encouragement to the homeless men, women and children of Skid Row.

Qualifications: No experience required.  Must have a heart for the homeless and poor.  Special need for men to minister to homeless men.

Work Schedule: 6pm - 8pm, 3rd Thursday of each month. 

Expected Commitment: 6 month commitment

 ZOE Food Pantry Ministry Worker

 Responsibilities: Distribute food to needy families.  Pack food in boxes and bags.  Re-stock food items on shelves.

Qualifications: No experience required.

Work Schedule: Every Wednesday from 1pm - 3pm at ZCF.

Expected Commitment: 6 month commitment

 Evangelism Volunteer

Responsibilities: Conduct evangelism in the city of Whittier by passing out door knockers, tapes and tracts. Also provide prayer to lead people to Christ.

Qualifications: No experience required.

Work Schedule: 10am - 12pm. 1st Saturday of the month.

Expected Commitment: 6 month commitment.

 Harvest Prayer

 Responsibilities: Provide prayer and intercession during Sunday service after praise and worship.  Attends Harvest Prayer meetings every even numbered month immediately following worship service.

Qualifications: No experience required however, workers must already have an established, quality prayer life.

Work Schedule: Once per month during worship service

Expected Commitment: 6 month commitment

 Hostess

 Responsibilities: Welcome and greet congregation, provide scarving assistance during worship and alter call, answer questions and provide information, assist ushers with preparing communion on 1st Sunday, washes and dries all communion cups, keep concierge table clean.

Qualifications: No experience required, female volunteers only, must be prompt and dedicated, strong customer service skills, must be friendly and attentive, special dress code required

Work Schedule: Arrive 1 hour prior to Sunday service.  For 1st Sunday, arrive 1 hour and 15 minutes prior to start of service.

Expected Commitment: 3 month trial period then 1 year commitment

1  Teenager (13 - 17) 2ND SUNDAY ONLY

1  Young Adult (18 - 35)

1  Adult (36+) ALL OTHER SUNDAYS

 Communion Preparer

 Responsibilities: Prepare juice and wafer trays for Sunday communion.

Qualifications: No experience required

Work Schedule: 1 Saturday per month (each Saturday prior to 1st Sunday).  2 hour shift.

Expected Commitment: 3 month trial period then 1 year commitment

1  Adult (36+) ALL OTHER SUNDAYS

 Lead Teacher

 Responsibilities: Supervise classroom setup and nursery school operations for Sunday service.

Qualifications: Must have good supervisory skills and people skills.

Work Schedule: Arrive 30 minutes prior to the beginning of Sunday service, 1 Sunday per month.

Expected Commitment: 1 year commitment

 Teacher

 Responsibilities: Teach devotions, memory verse, and lesson plan to children

Qualifications: Must have some experience in teaching (daycare, pre-school, home school, etc.)

Work Schedule: Arrive 15 minutes prior to the beginning of Sunday church service, 1 Sunday per month.

Expected Commitment: 1 year commitment

Teacher Assistant

 Responsibilities: Monitor children during lesson and play time, help to prepare snacks for children

Qualifications: No experience required

Work Schedule: Arrive 15 minutes prior to the beginning of Sunday church service, 1 Sunday per month.

Expected Commitment: 1 year commitment

 Setup Worker

 Responsibilities: Prepare classroom for Sunday nursery school, organize classroom materials, set out snacks and water

Qualifications: No experience required

Work Schedule: Arrive 1 hour prior to the beginning of Sunday church service.  Must break down classroom setup after the end of Sunday service. 1 Sunday per month.

Expected Commitment: 1 year commitment

Ushers

 Responsibilities: Seat congregation members, provide catching assistance during worship and alter call, answer questions and provide information to congregation, collect offering, distribute and collect materials for communion on 1st Sunday.

Qualifications: No experience required.  Male volunteers only.  Must be polite and prompt.  Strong customer service skills and good people skills required.  Special dress code required.  Must be a member of ZOE for at least 6 months

Work Schedule: Arrive 1 hour prior to Sunday service.  Special need for Ushers on 2nd and 4th Sunday.

Expected Commitment: 1 year commitment

Teacher

 Responsibilities: Teach lesson plan to children.

Qualifications: No experience required.  Must have a genuine love for children.  Must pass DOJ background check.

Work Schedule: Arrive 30 minutes prior to the beginning of church service / bible study. 1 Sunday church service or Wednesday bible study per month. Occasional special events.

Expected Commitment: 1 year commitment.

 Teacher Assistant

 Responsibilities: Monitor children during lesson and play time, help to prepare snacks for children

Customer Service

 Responsibilities: Track all children who are new to the ministry, have received Christ, or who are participating in the New Members Program.

Qualifications: No experience required.  Must have a genuine love for children.  Must pass DOJ background check.

Work Schedule: Arrive 30 minutes prior to the beginning of church service. 1 Sunday church service per month

Expected Commitment: 1 year commitment

Puppet Ministry Worker

 Responsibilities: Oversees the production of the puppet show and trains other volunteers to participate in the puppet show.  Prepares snacks for children

Work Schedule: Arrive 30 minutes prior to the beginning of church service / bible study.  1 Sunday church service per month.

Praise and Worship Coordinator

 Responsibilities: Responsible for supervising and training children who lead Praise & Worship.

Qualifications: No experience required.  Must have a genuine love for children.  Must pass DOJ background check.

Work Schedule: Arrive 30 minutes prior to the beginning of church service / bible study. 1 Sunday church service per month,
